Counselling & Wellbeing
Counselling is all about listening to you and then helping you to find ways to deal with your emotional issues.
It can be hard to open up and share your thoughts and emotions. It can sometimes be harder still to share your feelings with a family member or friend. We know it’s often easier to talk to a trained professional rather as they are not personally involved in your life.
Who is it for?
Everyone struggles to cope at some point in their life. Counselling can help resolve difficult personal, social or psychological problems that may be affecting your mood.
Our counsellors can help you if you’re struggling to cope with:
- A mental health condition such as depression or anxiety
- A bereavement or the breakdown of a relationship
- An emotionally challenging health condition such as infertility
- A work related issue such as stress
- Other issues such as sexual identity
How we can help
We don’t judge, we just strive to understand. We then try to help you to understand why you’re feeling the way you are so you can begin to deal with the issues.
Counselling
Counselling is a type of talking therapy where you can explore your problems, thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential way.
Our counsellors work with you to help you to see and understand things more clearly. Sometimes they help you to see your life and your issues in a different way. With their support and guidance, you’ll find your own solutions to your problems and start making positive changes to your emotional wellbeing.
Your therapist can offer this therapy face to face, over the phone or by video call depending upon what works best for you.
